Human rights activists published videos of prisoners being tortured in a hospital.
The Gulagu.net project, which had already reported torture in the Saratov regional tuberculosis hospital of the Federal Penitentiary Service, published a video that, according to them, shows cases of prisoners being raped.
The Gulagu.net project handed several media outlets video recordings which, according to its founder Vladimir Osechkin, were filmed in the Federal Penitentiary Service tuberculosis hospital No. 1 in Saratov. They show people being tortured and raped.
One of the videos was published by the portal «Vot Tak». It shows a man on a bed resembling a hospital bed; he is tied up so that his legs and buttocks are up in the air, and he is resting on his shoulder blades. Several people stand next to him, one of them holding a long stick resembling a mop handle. He rapes the man with it. «What are you doing», — the man being raped shouts. The man torturing him asks back: «Got something to say? Come on, remember. Remembered, or not?» After that he threatens that the man will spend three days in such conditions.
The video bears a date — February 18, 2020.

Several more videos are described by Znak. In one of them, dated June 25, 2020, a man behind the camera demands that a prisoner state his name. Meanwhile the prisoner's hands are tied to the bunk, and his raised legs to the headboard. The ropes binding his legs are held by a second man. After he states his name, the bound man is raped.
The Federal Penitentiary Service told RBC that it had begun checking the authenticity of this information.
