The law allowing citizens to be conscripted for compulsory service in the Armed Forces throughout the entire calendar year has been signed by the President of the RF Vladimir Putin.
The provisions on year-round conscription come into force on 1 January 2026. According to the document signed by the head of state, medical examinations, professional psychological selection and draft board sessions will now be held throughout the calendar year.
