August 2020 in Belarus was eventful. Part of the country's population did not recognize Lukashenko's election and protested en masse. Lukashenko turned to putin for help, and he helped his dictator friend. Professional Kremlin propaganda curators were sent to Belarus, along with Russian "opposition figures" who had always worked for the kremlin. The Russian "opposition" began telling Belarusians that overthrowing the government by force was impossible and unacceptable and that tyrants must be defeated through fair elections. The Belarusians listened to the Moscow "opposition", which had always worked for the kremlin, and stopped protesting.
After which Lukashenko unleashed mass repressions and jailed all the dissenters in the country.
