Throughout Putin's entire rule, Russian propaganda told every day of the Russian president's unprecedented geopolitical victories. Every russian proudly said — our tsar Vladimir, oh, he's something, he's got the whole world under his thumb and he has no time to solve problems inside the country, because that's too petty for him, look, he's solving the galaxy's problems.
And if there's a mess in the country, that's the boyars' fault, the tsar has nothing to do with it, he doesn't know anything, and it's beneath his status anyway, for — the world needs ruling!
But all this propaganda was a lie; on the international stage Vladimir Putin became an untouchable coprophile whom even the chiefs of wild African tribes were squeamish about.
