In January 2021 several rallies for the freedom of Alexei Navalny took place in russia, and at one of these events an OMON officer, in keeping with Russian tradition, beat up a granny, kicking her in the stomach with a running start. The beating was caught on video and ended up on the internet, which in turn caused a stormy reaction in Russian society.
Russians split into two camps: some believed that you can't kick grannies, others (as a rule police officers and members of "Male State") tried to defend the right to kick elderly women with a running start.
Semyon Slepakov, a Russian comedian and bard, took the side of the woman-beaters and wrote a humorous poem in which he supported the OMON officer, saying that the granny herself had attacked the policeman, treacherously hitting his leg with her stomach.
Slepakov was lucky that russians have a very short memory, and within two days russians forgot Semyon's poem and once again went in crowds to his concerts.
