The Legend of the Centaurs. The painting is based on real events. Once, when I was on holiday in the Caucasus, towards evening I went up into the mountains to admire the sunset. And there I saw a centaur. And the centaur saw me. We looked at each other from afar, then I couldn't stand it, turned around and ran away. I told the locals what had happened , and they laughed and said that in every aul they have so many of these centaurs you could fill a pond and pile up a mountain. And so from these memories I painted this picture.
